Márcia Denise da Rocha Collinge é Professora de Literaturas Portuguesa e Brasileira no Instituto Federal de Ciência, Educação e Tecnologia do Pará e Coordenadora do Centro de Idiomas (CENI) no IFPA – Campus Belém. Ela é doutora em Letras, área de concentração em Estudos Literários, pela Universidade Federal do Pará, com período sanduíche em Yale University, pela Fundação Fulbright. Participa como Pesquisadora dos Projetos de Pesquisa EELLIP - Estudos Estético-recepcionais acerca da Literatura de Língua Portuguesa (PPGL/UFPA) e do Projeto Linguagem, Literatura e Tecnologia na Amazônia (IFPA), e como extensionista nos Projetos de Extensão LITTERA - Literaturas germânica e brasileira (CEG/UFPA), e ainda, o Projeto Mediação de leitura para inclusão da literatura infantil de temática afrodescendente e indigena (PIBEX/IFPA). Possui ampla experiência em Letras, com ênfase em Estudos Literários, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: Literatura brasileira, Literatura espanhola, Estudos Latino-americanos, Literatura comparada, Ensino de literatura, Tradução literária e Recepção crítica.
Márcia Denise da Rocha Collinge is Professor of Luso-Brazilian Literatures at the Federal Institute of Science, Education and Technology of Pará and Coordinator of the Language Center (CENI) at IFPA, Belém Campus. She has a PhD in Literary Studies from the Federal University of Pará, with a period as Visiting Assistant in Research at Yale University, sponsored by the Fulbright Scholarship. She has participated as a researcher of the EELLIP Project - Aesthetic-receptional Studies on Portuguese Language Literature (PPGL/UFPA); LLTA Project - Language, Literature and Technology in the Amazon (IFPA); as well as the LITTERA Extension Project - Germanic and Brazilian Literatures (CEG/UFPA) and also in the Extension Project of Mediation reading for inclusion of Afro-Brazilian and indigenous thematic literature (PIBEX/IFPA). She has vast experience in Literature, with an emphasis on Literary Studies, focusing on Brazilian literature, Spanish literature, Latin American studies, Comparative Literature, Literature Education, Literary Translation and Critical Reception.
Entre a História e a Ficção: (re)construções da vida Amazônica em Cinzas do norte e A selva
O presente estudo visa a analisar os romances A Selva (1930), do escritor português Ferreira de Castro (1898-1974), e Cinzas do Norte (2005), do escritor brasileiro Milton Hatoum (1952), a partir de uma perspectiva ficcional contemporânea em que o discurso romanesco atravessa a história a ponto de atribuir novas significações e preencher lacunas ideológicas, se tornando recortes do real em um estatuto híbrido. Para tanto, perscrutaremos a função do literário no que tange aos limites da história nas obras castroana e hatouniana de maneira a demonstrar o vínculo existente entre tais estatutos, bem como a fazer ecoar vozes anteriormente silenciadas na história: a voz dos oprimidos e dominados na Amazônia.

Between History and Fiction: Narratives and (Re)Constructions of the Amazonian Life in "Cinzas do Norte" and A Selva
The present work aims to analyze the novels A Selva (1930), by the Portuguese writer Ferreira de Castro (1989-1974), and Cinzas do Norte (2005), by the Brazilian writer Milton Hatoum (1952), using a contemporary fictional perspective according to which the novelistic discourse passes through history, giving new meanings and filling ideological voids, creating carvings of the real in a hybrid statute. Therefore, we scan the function of the literary in respect to history’s boundaries in the Castrean and Hatounian works in such a way that illustrates the existing link between these statutes, as well as echoes voices that were previously silenced in history: the voice of the oppressed and dominated in the Amazon.
